Discover Venice in its entirety, with a tour of the small islands that surround it.
It is worth pointing out that Venice does not only consist of St Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge. These are two of the city's fundamental attractions, but those who really love this place will surely feel the need to explore still further. This tour offers the opportunity to take a day trip by motorboat, discovering the various differently sized islands that can be found in close proximity to Venice. Your excursion starts from the waterfront of St. Mark’s, and circumnavigates the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore and the Lido. Continue to the enchanting islands of Murano, Burano, and Torcello in the heart of the northern lagoon, and discover a more authentic side to Venice. Perhaps the most famous island in the Venetian lagoon, Murano also has one of the most populated town centres. Its popularity is generally known as being connected to the centuries-old tradition of glass processing. You will be able to visit a traditional glass factory where a Master will show you the ancient art of glass blowing and of course many boutiques and village shops where you will find the most unusual souvenirs! Burano is instead much more interesting from a geographical point of view; it is in fact made up of four islands, and interesting marsh formations extend into the surrounding area. The last stop will be the wild island of Torcello. Here, you will be at the site of the earliest center of civilization in the estuary. The cathedral, with its magnificent mosaics, and the church of Santa Fosca remain as testimony of its former glory. In summary, thanks to its particularly beautiful islands, Venice can offer unique excursions which alternate between art and nature.
